Sardinian Composer Elia Casu Bridges Blues Heritage and Experimental Electronics on New EP 'Lo-Fi Songs'
Amsterdam, NH - September 4, 2026-- Sardinian Composer Elia Casu Bridges Blues Heritage and Experimental Electronics on New EP 'Lo-Fi Songs'
Acclaimed Sardinian composer and producer Elia Casu announces his latest four-track project, Lo-Fi Songs, an evocative exploration of downtempo grooves, manipulated textures, and ambient soundscapes. Marking a significant evolution in Casu’s ongoing sonic research, the EP navigates the quiet space between movement and stillness, drawing inspiration from late-night travel, desolate landscapes, and nostalgic reflection.
Echoing the atmospheric depth of artists like Bonobo and Taroug, Lo-Fi Songs balances organic imperfection with electronic precision. Across four immersive pieces, Casu integrates field recordings, prepared instrumentation, and subtle blues influences. While the tracks Atamicape Fack and Rainy Man are fully written, produced, mixed by Casu, the tracks A Train and Mama That’s Alright were mixed and mastered by Roberto Macis.
The EP offers a dynamic narrative arc: Mama That’s Alright stands out as an accessible entry point featuring a captivating groove and sampled blues vocals, while the final track, "Atamicape Fack" (releasing September 4th), delivers an experimental peak through warm analog tones, mystery, and layered cinematic arrangements.

Elia Casu - Lo-Fi Songs EP
"These tracks were created during moments when I felt the need to slow down and pay attention to what usually goes unnoticed," explains Casu. "I wanted to combine the emotional depth and raw humanity of blues music with the freedom and atmosphere of contemporary electronic production."
Casu’s background in prepared guitars and electroacoustic improvisation has led to releases on labels such as Splasc(h) Records and AudioMazed, alongside performances at major international festivals including Time in Jazz and LEM Festival. With Lo-Fi Songs, he refines this experimental background into an accessible, deeply intimate experience.
"The central challenge was preserving unpolished human emotion inside modern electronic structures," Casu adds. "Rather than dictating a single narrative, each track is designed as an open emotional space where listeners can project their own memories and move toward clarity."
